CraftBomb

This year’s Voluntary Arts Week takes place from 11 – 19 May, and we’re planning to kick it off with our most ambitious craft project ever!

If you’re a knitter, stitcher, quilter, embroiderer – whatever your craftform – we want you to get involved in the Voluntary Arts Week CraftBomb. We’re calling on all crafters to help turn public spaces across the UK and Republic of Ireland into a riot of colour and creativity to celebrate the first day of Voluntary Arts Week.

We’re running launch events in Derry and Glasgow, and that groups across the rest of the UK and RoI will get together to organise similar events in their areas. We’ve put together a pack to help you plan your event, including information on getting permission for your Craftbomb along with ideas for what to create and how to get people involved.

Download the CraftBomb Pack today and be part of the first ever national CraftBomb!

Glasgow CraftBomb - the Voluntary Arts Scotland team is organising a CraftBomb to be revealed in a secret location in Glasgow on 11 May.  Download the Glasgow CraftBomb Pack for more information.  The pack contains patterns and step by step instructions for pompom flowers, fabric birds and knitted / crochet bunting which we are looking for people to contribute to the project.

Based further afield?  Why not use these patterns as inspiration for your own CraftBomb?! You can also join the CraftBomb facebook group to share ideas and connect with crafters in your area.

Good luck on your mission, agent!
